The whole gay marriage thing- a true bugaboo. As a creative, I'm all for it. Why? Quite simply, it means more weddings, and nobody blows cash like gay people. Nobody. Flowers, and invitations, and catered events, wow, gay people set the bar for opulence. For people like me, who make their living on designing invitations, sewing veils, "save the date" websites, and the giant gift box that holds all of the gift cards with the six white doves and the Swarovski crystal beadwork, gay weddings bring loads and loads of federal scrillah! Also, gay folks getting married keeps community property out of probate when one partner dies, and it provides health insurance for the one who wants to, oh, I dunno, stay home and raise the adopted children, which is quite legal. Anyway, gay marriage- I'm all for it.
However, if you were a programmer, you probably wouldn't like the idea. Here's why.
