Ouch.

In 1985, someone walked through Pansophic's data center with an industrial-strength electromagnet that erased every disk drive in the place. "We hired an outside investigator to come in and talk to our people," said Joe Piscopo, who sold Pansophic to Computer Associates in 1991 for $300 million. "It turns out that an employee, who was behind on a development project, sought to hide the fact that he had screwed up. We believe he destroyed an entire library of all the programs. The best we could do was fire him."
